poems dinosaur popsicles
“Dinosaur Popsicles”Poem by Audrey Isabelle Mabanta
I still write by the way
and watch
My family is okay
I do miss them
I saw something at Whole Foods today
You would’ve loved it
They were dino-shaped popsicle holders
The price of $20 would have made you
go back and forth,
back and forth,
back and forth...
you would’ve bought it, maybe open it
but never use it
And then every time you see me again
you would’ve reminded me
How we never got to use it yet
Anyways, happy birthday.
